Our new London Principal
The past few years saw us relocate our studio to Fitzrovia.
In early 2019 Principal Katie Parfitt joined our London team.
Previously an Associate at Stride Treglown, Katie is a qualified Architect and has worked on a range of projects including several schools in London, student accommodation schemes in Brighton and Southampton, and challenging mixed use residential and retail developments in London and across the UK. In addition to her architectural qualifications, Katie also holds a masters in Project Management.
Katie’s appointment will drive our London office growth, further enhancing TODD Architects offer of technical expertise and innovative design across the UK.
We can offer clients a service which uniquely combines a small, focused and agile London team with a resource base across the organisation that totals over seventy staff – being of a scale where the practice sits within the Architect’s Journals’ list of top 100 architects in the UK for the past four consecutive years.
We are committed to developing and expanding our office in London and continue to look for further opportunities to demonstrate the added benefit we consider we can bring to clients across both public and private sectors.
We are equally adept, experienced and regarded in the design field, (most directly evidenced in the number of our completed buildings that have secured RIBA awards), as we are in delivery, where for example in London a number of our commissions have been successfully completed under a Design & Build procurement route (including reconfiguring sports facilities within the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for contractor, H&J Martin).
Recently completed and ongoing projects include Royal Wharf which is a major residential and mixed-use development comprising some 3,500 units, on a brownfield site on the banks of the River Thames in East London. The development is being rolled out on a phased basis, where TODD Architects are engaged in the third and final phase. Plot 24 is now complete with Plot 20 due to complete June/July 2019. The buildings include a wide mix of apartment types, ranging from social and affordable housing through private rental to upmarket riverside private sales. TODD Architects are working with developers Ballymore to deliver the scheme.
Further existing projects include the continuing redevelopment of Bristol Airport and a 70,000sqft Grade A office building in Brighton.
TODD Architects London Office
TODD Architects London office was established in the 1980’s. In the early years the practice was at the forefront of the original urban regeneration of Clerkenwell, designing for example the much admired Woodbridge House for Mason Solicitors and indeed locating it’s offices to Britton Street.
Completed projects in the intervening years have ranged in nature, scale and complexity from reconfigurations of a Georgian terrace in Chelsea, to office developments around the M25 and masterplanning for the likes of Kingston University at their Kingston Hill Campus and Ashford and St.Peter’s Hospital in Kent.
