Omagh Hospital & Primary Care Complex is longlisted in WAN Awards ‘17

TODD Architects designed Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex has been longlisted in the healthcare category for the WAN Awards ’17, making it the only project in this category to represent the UK and Ireland this year.
Other countries represented by projects in the healthcare category include Australia, Canada, Germany , Japan, Sweden, Turkey and the US.

A New Model of Care

TODD Architects (with Hall Black Douglas) completed Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex for the Western Health and Social Care Trust in May 2017.

The first of its kind in the UK and Ireland, the newbuild hospital brings together acute and primary community healthcare services on a shared campus.  Located on a greenfield site on the outskirts of Omagh town, the new complex was generated in response to the latest healthcare reports and future initiatives; specifically designed to create a ‘natural environment for healing’ and offering short-stay services to help tackle waiting lists.
