Bruce Street is a mixed use development being brought forward by a combination of a local Housing Association and a commercial property developer.
Occupying a brownfield site in Belfast city centre, that is presently in use as a surface car park, it comprises two Grade A office blocks and multi-unit residential accommodation, laid out to follow an adopted masterplan, with high quality public realm linking the differing elements and creating pedestrian routes through the scheme.
The development is envisaged as a catalyst for the wider regeneration of this neglected part of the city centre.
The two standalone office buildings (11 and 14 storeys) are organised on triangular and broad rectangular footprints, and share the same architectural language, being fully glazed with their forms ‘softened’ through the introduction of curved corners.
Each incorporates a double height foyer and retail offer to animate its base, with generous terraces at upper levels providing panoramic views across the city.
