  • Project Architect

    For our growing practice in our studio in Belfast, we are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Project Architect to join our team and work on a variety of exciting projects.

    Key Areas of Responsibility:

    Exhibit excellent design skills coupled with and technical expertise across all aspects of a project.
    Be Design Conscious and Commercially Aware.
    Lead project teams in all aspects of design stages, with a focus on co-ordination with the team and of documentation Technical and construction.
    Oversee a team to ensure integration of technical information and statutory requirements into project design and drawings.
    Exhibit excellent graphic design ability and strong communication skills.
    Administer project related information in line with the standards and procedures of the Practice.
    Grow with us and the development of TODD Architects and our growing practice presence.
    Promote the practice goals and ensure efficiency and effectiveness of our team.
    Develop effective and clear dialogue with our own team members and external project partners.

    Skills and experience required:

    Excellent design skills to communicate proposals – both written and verbal.
    Technical skills to develop design proposals, detail and specify.
    CAD skills and ability to work in AutoCAD and Revit.
    Understanding of CAD/BIM environment and implications on project running.
    Communication skills with the team, client, and project stakeholders.
    Ability to communicate internally with the wider studio and within project teams.
    Leadership of the project team.
    Skills in programme a project and delivery to align with project programme and quality.
    Agility in decision making and an awareness of competing project demands.
    An understanding of wider studio requirements and pressures.

  • Architectural Technologist REVIT SKILLED

    For our growing workload we are looking for enthusiastic and talented Architectural Technologist with Strong Revit Skills to join our team in our Belfast Studio and work on a variety of exciting projects.

    Key Areas of Responsibility:

    Working on the production of detailed technical drawing packages.
    Strong CAD skills with Revit competence.
    Understanding of CAD/BIM environment and implications on project running.
    Specification writing and technical input on production.
    Awareness of current statutory requirements and Building Regulations.
    Taking a lead role of project delivery working independently and as part of a team on larger schemes.
    Possessing skills to deliver the projects across residential, education, health, industrial and commercial sectors.
    Working to keep projects on budget and schedule as part of a team.

    Skills and experience required:

    Possess a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.
    Have experience in using Revit is highly desirable for this role (Revit competence will be part of the interview process).
    Ability to take a lead role in the management of projects.
    Have strong technical detailing abilities.
    Be Design Conscious and Commercially Aware.
    Experience in Specification Writing and Scheduling on projects.
    Ability to write specifications is beneficial.
    An understanding of wider studio requirements and pressures and an attitude of flexibility and collaboration.

  • Graphic Designer

    We are looking for a talented graphic designer to join our Belfast office to help manage and develop TODD Architects’ brand, supporting our Dublin, London and Manchester studios also.

    We aim to always produce the very highest standard of visual communication. Our graphic identity is strong and our brand is well respected throughout our industry.

    This is an opportunity for a creative and passionate graphics professional to join a small and friendly marketing team and play an integral role in the management and development of our brand as we continue to grow.

    Key Areas of Responsibility:

    Custodian of logos, graphical assets, imagery and templates
    guardian of all project imagery
    responsible for the coordination of staff photography
    assist with the design of TODD Architects internal newsletter
    assist with the management of bid templates and routine updates
    design of CV’s, project profiles and standard bid pages
    support in design of high value bids and ensuring correct visual representation of TODD Architects on external communications
    assist with the maintenance, development and updating of a suite of capability statements and presentation slides
    create presentations for competitions, bids, B2B’s and as required
    help design and create illustrations as required for our interior design team
    assist with the creation of dynamic content for social media (including video)
    development and maintenance of content across TODD Architects’ website

    Skills and experience required:

    Experience working experience in a similar graphic design role ideally within the built environment sector or similar
    A relevant degree or similar level/achievement
    a talent for creativity and problem-solving within the parameters of the brand
    an understanding of technical content and concepts and assistance with translating them into simplified and understandable messages
    high proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
    high proficiency with all Microsoft applications
    prior experience of using WordPress
    excellent standard of written English and verbal communication skills
    ability to use feedback to improve design
    excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task
    ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
    a keen eye for detail
    a flexible, positive approach able to work as part of a team in a busy, creative atmosphere
    ability to communicate with people of all levels
