Seamus

Seamus joined TODD’s in late 2020, being introduced as the Principal of the new Manchester studio, that has established a presence for the practice in the North West of England and continued its planned expansion in Great Britain. In recognition of Seamus’ substantial impact, he was made Associate Director in 2023.

Seamus spent the formative years of his career gaining invaluable experience in award winning practices in London, before joining IBI in Manchester in 2013. During his time as Director and studio Principal he was responsible for the design and delivery of a wide range of projects, most notably including the critically acclaimed Glass Works town centre regeneration project in Barnsley.

He has developed a particular expertise in the creative re-use of existing buildings, and in taking this knowledge into the repurposing of town and city centres.

Seamus carries all the attributes required of an architect working within the private sector, focusing on the added value of good design and bringing forward solutions collaboratively with clients to maximise the development potential of sites and properties.

In his short time with the practice Seamus has already secured residential led mixed use development commissions in Salford, Stoke on Trent, Bradford and Wrexham.

Whilst his focus remains on growing the practice’s commission base in the private sector across the North West, he is also working with his colleagues across the studios to explore public sector opportunities in the health and education sectors.
