TODD Architects have been appointed as Executive Architects by Ardmore to deliver a new, high end residential development in Kensington, west London. The project for developers Lodha will deliver 106 apartments (including 35 affordable units) on the site of the former Odeon cinema and neighbouring postal sorting office on High Street Kensington, opposite the Design Museum.

The main block is an eight-storey building, comprising of retail units at ground floor, six storeys of apartments, with a two storey, set back, penthouse. A simple palette of materials includes undulating precast panels, recon stone, handset brickwork and dark bronze aluminium window frames.

The design developed by Squire & Partners up to Stage 3 is still awaiting Planning Approval. 106 home super prime residential led mixed use development, with multi-level storey basement, including residents shared / communal facilities, car stacker and 6 publicly accessible boutique cinemas.

Arranged in a series of linked blocks, ranging from 3 storey townhouses to an 8-storey apartment block facing Kensington High Street.
