Cleaver House, Belfast

Cleaver House is a six storey B+ Listed building prominently located opposite Belfast City Hall. Constructed c1888 the building is a former department store which had been previously reconfigured in the 1980s.

In 2014 we were appointed to reconfigure and refurbish the interior of the building from second to sixth floor level including ground floor entrance and reception area, some 3,200sq m of office accommodation.

The project included the opening up of modular spaces created in the 1980’s and removal of non-original partitions, finishes and building services. In addition to Cat A area refurbishments a Cat B fit out was undertaken to provide accommodation for a public sector body.

In addition planning permission was gained for a new roof structure which would open up the upper most space with a new mansard roof and contemporary dormer window structures.
