Corpus Christi Social Housing, Belfast

Social Housing development of 69 no. dwellings (59 no. general needs, 2 no. complex needs units and 8 no. apartments), provision of new access road, residents parking spaces and associated external works and services, to meet Lifetime Homes Criteria.

The design respects the scale and character of the neighbouring houses and the gradients of the site. The proposed finishes of brick, painted render and concrete roof tiles compliment the dominant materials of the area.

The design concept is based around the need to minimise retaining structures and acceptance that good plot sizes are key to achieving housing that is conducive to quality living and fulfils all the needs set out in the Housing Association Guide. Good plot sizes will provide well considered garden space plus adequate external space to incorporate external bin storage, clothes drying etc. Level access will be provided to all houses.
