Kings Hall Health & Wellbeing Campus – Nursing Care Home

TODD Architects were appointed by the Macklin Group to design their latest care home.

The ambitious brief was underpinned by challenging this model of care, and it includes many facilities within the home that are not typically offered. Building a community in the property as well as being part of the masterplan were important design drivers.

The scheme includes spaces for a range of uses, including extensive social spaces both internally and externally for residents and their visiting family and friends. An in-house cinema, beauty salon and bar for use by residents as well as spaces to allow external use.

These benefit both residents and the wider scheme alike and contribute to healing and test the stereotype of a Nursing Care Facility. The building comprises 110 bedrooms, a community unit, providing a range of care options including:

• Residential Care
• Nursing Care
• Respite Care
• Dementia Care

The scheme has been granted Full Planning Permission and discussions are currently ongoing with operators.
